Product Evangelist: Photography Market

Do you live and breathe for photography, visual effects and stunning images? Do you thrive on sharing knowledge and connecting with other creative artists? Boris FX, leader in visual effects software development is looking for a creative Product Evangelist with business experience to help build our brand in the photography and image editing market.

This position is full-time, but could be a part time position for the right person. Work remotely. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.

Must Have:

  • Demonstrated ability to create creative, compelling and professional quality images using Photoshop and Lightroom.

  • Experience as a trainer or influencer - preferably with an existing network of followers on YouTube, Instagram, or other social media sites.

  • Ability to create high-quality, charismatic video training and live streams.

  • Capable of identifying partnership opportunities with key publications, blogs and online communities.

  • Excellent verbal skills, written, listening, and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate feedback and translate into product requests, write blog posts, and communicate with our product teams.

  • Ability to self motivate and work with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Be the brand ambassador for Boris FX Optics - produce images, videos and case studies.

  • Build Optics footprint in the Photography market with content, partnerships and community engagement.

  • Drive engagement through training, social media, contests, sponsorships and product reviews.

  • Help manage and build the Affiliate Program and develop relationships with key influencers.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on website, newsletters and social media.

  • Collaborate with product management on features and direction.


Software Engineer

Are you someone who would be excited about working in the visual effects industry developing VFX tools for the next blockbuster movie or Super Bowl commercial? Do you have a passion for quality, super-fast, clean code?

Boris FX is a leading provider of specialized visual effects software to the film, media and advertising industries worldwide. Our products are used in top video content of all kinds. We care about speed, quality (both code and image!) and creativity. We’re looking for a motivated engineer to help us move faster, scale larger, and create more amazing products.

You’d work closely with the rest of our small, focused development group on next-generation visual effects software and make a significant impact on our company.

This position is in our Boston, MA office. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Write cool image-processing effects in C/C++ and CUDA
  • Create UIs in Python/PyQt.
  • We all wear many hats, so there’s some customer interaction, bug fixes, conferences, product design, and QA as well as serious high-performance software development.

Required Experience

  • 3-7 years of programming experience.
  • Solid experience, comfort and fluency with C++.
  • Experience with parallel or GPU programming.
  • Image processing and/or computer vision skills.
  • Experience creating, debugging and shipping high-performance products
  • CS/Engineering college degree
  • Familiarity with two or more of Windows, Mac and Linux
  • Experience with distributed version control (especially git)
  • Experience with agile development, bug tracking (such as jira)

Pluses

Sales & Support

Software Engineer (UK)

Boris FX is a leading provider of specialized visual effects software to the film, media and advertising industries worldwide. Our products are used in top video content of all kinds. We care about speed, quality and creativity. We’re looking for a motivated engineer to help us move faster, scale larger, and create more amazing products.

You’d work closely with the rest of our small, geographically dispersed development group on Academy Award-winning visual effects software and make a significant impact on our company.

This full-time position can either be in our Guildford, UK office, remote elsewhere in the UK, or a combination of the two. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Write sophisticated image processing and computer vision software in C++ and OpenCL.

We all wear many hats, so there’s some customer interaction, bug fixes, conferences, product design and QA as well as serious high-performance, artist-focussed software development.

Senior Sales Account Manager

The opportunity:

Your customers will comprise many of the largest entertainment companies in the world and they will trust your judgment as a valued partner. You will stop at nothing to help them find the right solution for their individual needs, one that positively impacts their business, speeds up their workflow, and intertwines within their future goals and plans.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to drive pipeline activity and achieve results against a predetermined quota. Ideally, you will be highly self-motivated, have a sense of urgency, and driven by producing superior results.
