Unreal Engine

A simple tracked camera export to Unreal Engine (via Unreal Editor) can be done as follows:

1. In SynthEyes make a note of the camera name, and the frame rate of the shot. This frame rate MUST match the frame rate used in the Unreal Editor project, or the camera animation won't be imported correctly.

2. Export from SynthEyes in the FBX format.

3. In Unreal Editor create a new Cine Camera Actor, and give it the same name as the camera in the SynthEyes project (by default "Camera01").

4. In the Sequencer panel press +Add, and choose "Actor To Sequencer". Select the newly created Cine Camera. This will add the camera to the sequencer panel.

5. Right click on the camera in the sequencer panel, and choose "Import". Then select the FBX file created by SynthEyes, and use the default import settings. This should apply the camera animation calculated by SynthEyes in the FBX file to the Cine Camera, as they have the same name.

There are other ways of exporting the SynthEyes data to Unreal Unreal Engine, for example, by exporting the scene to 3DS Max, and exporting from there to Unreal Engine using the DataSmith format.
